In solidarity and allyship we are substituting this public holiday to invite you to engage with us to "Recognise your privilege and the fact, that Jan 26 is painful day for First Nations people and marks the beginning of the dispossession of land, violence, massacres and genocide for Community."

"Invasion Day", "Survival Day", "Day of Mourning", or "Aboriginal Sovereignty Day" are names that acknowledge the day's significance as a day of mourning and remembrance for the First Nations peoples of Australia.

Invasion Day Marks the day in 1788 when the First Fleet arrived in Sydney Cove, signaling the beginning of colonization and the dispossession of First Nations peoples.

Survival Day Celebrates the resilience of First Nations peoples and their continued resistance to colonization.

Day of Mourning A day to acknowledge the loss of life, language, land, and culture that was caused by the European invasion.
